PM Modi to Inaugurate the Hydroelectric Project in Himachal Today

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at Mandi on Monday to mark the completion of four years of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Himachal Pradesh and inaugurated a full-fledged hydroelectric project next to the foundation stone of several projects. He also highlighted various initiatives of the government in infrastructure, health, education, and tourism sectors.

The PMO said that Modi has consistently focused on harnessing the untapped potential of the available resources in the country and a step in this regard is to make Modi. He said a 40 MW project would be constructed at a cost of around Rs 7,000 crore.  Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the Lahiri Phase-I Hydroelectric Project.

This two hundred and ten MW project is being built at a cost of over Rs 1,800 crore. It produces over 75 million units of electricity per year. Another project for which he is laying the foundation stone is the Dhaulasiddha Hydroelectric Project.

The PMO said that it generates over 30 crore units of electricity per year.  Prime Minister Modi will address the public meeting at Padul Maidan in Mandi.
