The constant theft of donkeys in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district has forced the police to give up all work to catch donkey thieves. Complaints of donkey theft have been reaching the police station since December 10 in many villages of the Khuia police station area of Nohar tehsil of Hanumangarh district. The picket ended when police promised to find the donkeys in 15 days.
Now the shepherds of the area are scared and are demanding to find the stolen donkeys as soon as possible. He claims that three of his donkeys have been stolen.
Khuiya police station came to the village as soon as they got the information about donkey theft. After complaints of donkey theft, police arrested 15 donkeys and brought them to the police station on the night of December 27. The donkeys were caught by the police, who denied that they were donkeys. Frightened by the theft of donkeys, the shepherds have claimed a prize of up to Rs 20,000.
