Given the increasing cases of the corona, the Punjab government is going to ban the entry of those people who do not get both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. In an order issued by the Punjab government on Tuesday, it has been said that the ban will be effective from January 15. According to the order, the new rule will apply to the entry of adults in public places such as markets and malls, considering the risks to Omicron.
The government says that only those adults can go to public places, who have been fully vaccinated against corona. However, no mention was made in the order regarding political rallies. Assembly elections are due in the state early next year and all political parties are holding rallies for it. «Individuals who have not been fully vaccinated need to be extra cautious, especially given the problems that arise due to the ‘Omicron version of COVID-19’,» it said.
Apart from this, those who have taken the first dose and there is still time to take the second dose will also be able to go. Only vaccinated adults will be allowed entry into hotels, bars, restaurants, malls, shopping complexes, cinema halls, gyms, and fitness centers.
